Also, before anything else, I'm still going through your guys' comments and deviations and such!
Long ago, before I made very many friends on deviantART, sometime in the waning ages of the year 2007, I introduced a few heroes.
Now, I'll say this now and I'll say it again, it seems to me (totally unfounded opinion, just putting it out there) that girls are the ones who usually create original characters. I'm not exactly sure why, but that's what my experience has been so far; but, I have original characters so there!
The point is, these original characters were the basis for that accursed "Akimbo" deviation. I had only introduced three of them at the time, and I thought it was high time to bring the whole damned human race into the picture (or, in Simplespeak, all the other characters).
Well, it seems to me it was a wholly terrible idea to announce the deviation was on its way when it had only been in its infancy at the time. Over the past few weeks I've been thinking I was feeling extremely unsatisfied with what "Akimbo" was coming out to be. As a result, I'm going to officially declare, "Akimbo" on hold. I know it was terrible to say it was on its way; I'm truly sorry. I just felt what the art was coming out to be wouldn't at all be deserving of the long wait you guys had to endure.
So, the plan is: I'm going to let everything take the course it wants to take. I'm going to introduce the Dog Days of Summer slowly, steadily. No overload necessary; like a deviant friend of mine once said, there's no use in beating you guys over the head with it. Let's sleep-walk into it.
But art is coming all the same! Too Long; Didn't Read (TL;DR), Let's just see where everything takes us. I'm taking my time on my art, and trying to make it as good as it can be.
Now, what else? Oh yeah.
Literature is a different story. "After Noon" and "1914" are alive and well. I leave their judgement to you, my fellow deviants.
